Wonderful surprise!!!!

I have serious "momnesia" (I can't believe I remembered that little catch phrase)... in the blog below I said that Brooke came to visit in April... she came in February. I hope I get my brain back in time for work! This pic is of my wonderful Brooke and Ben and my friend Kyle.

What an AMAZING surprise!!!!

These photos are from one of the greatest surprises I've ever had!!!! My best friend in the world, Brooke... aka Auntie B... shocked me (see photos Ben took when Brooke rang the doorbell!) with a surprise visit around the end of April. Brooke and I have been true friends since I was 4 years old... and our amazing friendship has blossomed with every new chapter of our lives.
Here's the story... Ben told me about a million times that I needed to sign for a very important package that was supposed to be delivered on Friday at 2pm. He also told me that a work friend was coming in town and wanted to stay with us instead of a hotel. To be honest, this confused me... because what single guy wouldn't want to stay in a hotel compared to a house with a baby who wakes up a the crack of dawn? But I cleaned up the house and changed the sheets of the guest bed. Because I was cleaning the house... and for many other reasons that all new moms know... I was still in my pajamas with fuzzy teeth and unbrushed hair when 2pm rolled around. To make things even better, when the doorbell rang at 2pm, I was breastfeeding Jackson. You know how the UPS guys ring the doorbell and practically race away... so I pulled Jack off and ran to the door, so I wouldn't miss Ben's "very important package."
That's when I had the second biggest shock of my life (the first being when Ben proposed!) There at my door, with a huge smile and open arms, was the person I consider a gift from God... the person who knows me better than almost anyone else... my best friend Brooke!
You know on scenes from American Idol or Publishers Clearing House, when people are so happy that they literally fall to their knees? I often mock them because who really falls to their knees? Well mock no more... because I was so overcome I started shaking and, you guessed it, fell to my knees. Luckily Brooke took Jackson out of my arms right before! I just missed Brooke so much, all my emotions erupted when I saw her and knew I didn't have to say, "I wish I could give you a hug right now," because she was right in front of me, with her arms around me.
We had a magical time... talking and eating and laughing and crying and shopping. All the things friends love to do!
Thank you, Brooke, for loving me and thank you Brooke and Ben for giving me one of the best surprises of my life!

After our whirlwind month of traveling and having visitors here in Nashville, I'm getting a little bored with just my momma and daddy. Over the past weeks I've visited my cousins and Auntie Karen and Uncle Shawn in southern Ohio, went to California to see Gram and Grandad, had Auntie Dana visit, had Momma's best friend Brooke visit, and had Grammy and Auntie Katie visit! I feel so loved and I've adored cuddling and playing with everyone. I've heard that I'm a very happy baby... well with all this love and attention, I have no reason not to be!
We can't tell you how much it means to all of us that you've come to visit. Momma thinks Tennessee is great, but she misses you all so much. Our door is always open and we'd love for you to come see us!!!

What a wonderful week!!!

Jackson's Grammy and Auntie Katie came to Nashville for a full week and we all had an incredible time!!! Jackson adored all the new attention and found a wonderful new home in his Grammy's arms.

Jackson just fell in love with his Grammy... especially when she sang to him and bounced him on her knee! Ben and I have been singing the "Little Buckaroo" song everyday since.

Ben took his mom and sister on a great tour of Nashville... and a Preds game.

Donna, Katie, Jackson and I went downtown to visit Daddy at work. We then toured the Country Music Hall of Fame!

We had to take Donna and Katie to our favorite Music Row restaurant... Jacks BBQ. We also visited the Frist Art Museum and saw a wonderful exhibit on impressionist art. Jackson was pretty great in the museum... except when he started giggling for what seemed like no reason! He then fell fast asleep and let momma enjoy the art.

The cats also loved having Katie and Donna here! Charlie and Katie became fast friends.

Auntie Dana comes to visit!

Just days after Jackson and I returned from California, Auntie Dana came to visit us! We had a wonderful time and enjoyed amazing Tennessee weather! There were loads of adorable pictures of Jack and Dana playing, but I'm a doofus and had the camera on the wrong setting. It was a wonderful visit and I loved seeing Dana and Jackson together.
