I'd already posted this photo earlier, but I when I cropped this photo, Jackson's eyes looked so sweet, I had to post it again!

Bad choice for Jack's first meal

Doesn't this top picture look like Jackson is thinking, "What are you doing to me Momma?" Unfortunately, I made the mistake of giving Jack stage 1 turkey... which made Jack give the face below. I actually tried it and I had about the same face! We've moved on to normal baby food... rice cereal and fruit. I'm learning!

Jackson and momma love hanging out on the rocker on the porch. Amy needed some good pics of she and Jack, since she is always the fotog behind the camera. What beautiful smiles these two have! Jackson Loves His Daddy!!!

How adorable are my boys? Ben can make Jackson laugh in the most precious way and I absolutley love watching them play together!
We had a very special week... Jack said "dada" for the first time and he did it while Ben was snuggling with him. Watching Ben's face at that moment was truly beautiful.

I love blocks!!!

We introduced Jackson to his first set of blocks and... as you can see... he loves them! They're mushy and they squeak. What more could a baby want. Jackson is 5 months old today and I can't believe how much he's changing. He has such a sweet personality. Just like his daddy, he has an amazing way of smiling at people and making them feel loved.
This is my first Mother's Day and I feel so completely blessed!

Beautiful Saturday

Jackson, Ben and I had an amazing Mother's Day weekend. On Saturday, we enjoyed an absolutely beautiful day by planting a dogwood tree and a bunch of beautiful flowers in our backyard.

Sophia and Lydia are the most wonderful cousins! Here they are at Jackson's baptism... Liddy made a beautiful bib that Jack wore during the ceremony. This is a day I will cherish forever!

Jackson's Baptism- April 13, 2008

What a wonderful and incredibly special day for our precious Jackson! On April 13, 2008 Jackson was baptised at Our Savior Lutheran Church. My sister Karen is his godmother... and she held him as I cried (surprise, surprise) and Pastor welcomed him into God's family. Karen also took all of these absolutely beautiful pictures!!!

It was an especially special day because Jack wore the christening gown that my mom made out of her wedding dress. It is so amazing to think that Jackson was baptised in the same dress I was! Because of that wonderful tradition, Jack's daddy was willing to look past the fact that his son was wearing a silk dress with flowers. My mom said that if the King of England can wear a dress at his baptism, Jackson can!
