My happy panda!

I decided to take lots of pictures of my dear Jackson today! There are so many times that I wish I had a camera... and of course, it would always be buried in a drawer somewhere or hiding under a pile of crapola. So today I decided to be Jack's personal paparazzi and keep my camera around my neck.

At 7 weeks old, Jackson is growing like a weed! He's already more than 10 pounds! His personality is really starting to shine through. He is such a happy and serene baby. He loves watching the sun rise each morning when I'm feeding him and he's just started cooing and giving huge smiles when daddy sticks out his tounge or zerbert's his belly. Ben and I agree that pure joy is when Jackson snuggles up with us and makes all his little noises. It's like a baby form of purring!

Babies have such a beautiful way of showing us the simple joys of life. We are so blessed and so happy!

My sweet boy-- 7 weeks

I can't believe my precious little boy is 7 weeks old! This morning I brought Jackson into bed and couldn't help but snap a zillion pictures of him!

There are very few people who can pull off a cow on their booty, but Jackson proves that a big backside can be adorable!

Jackson loves getting a bath! Of course, as soon as Ben went to dry him off, Jack managed to poop all over this towel... tee hee hee.

My other loves

Charlie and Sam have welcomed Jackson into the family so much better than I imagined! Though it's a bit of a challenge fitting a 15 pound cat and a 10 pound baby on my lap... we make it work. When Jack cries, the cats are right there to make sure I know the baby needs me and when I put Jackson in the pack-n-play in the living room, Sam will nap on the couch nearby. Yet again, Charlie and Sam prove that they are some of the most loving pets we could ever have!

Jackson's first Christmas

We managed to get the tree up before Jackson arrived. It was wonderful to come home from the hospital and have the house decorated for Christmas. Jackson is truly the most precious gift we've ever received. He was also wonderful at church! Two women sitting behind us had sparkly sweaters on... which kept Jack enthralled. Of course a few lines of "what child is this..." and "away in the manger" had me crying my eyes out. Ben and I feel so blessed!!!

Special time with Gram & Grandad

My mom was wonderful helping with Jackson and me. Jack loved listening to her voice. He also loved meeting his Grandaddy!

First bath

It was finally time to wash Jackson's mohawk... daddy did a great job and Jack loved the warm water.

First car ride!

Jackson loves riding in the car. But he put a lot of thought into his first venture in the carseat. Check out his furrowed brow... that's what he does when he's not quite sure if momma knows what she's doing :)
